About
Federated Hermes, who acquired the St Matthew’s Centre from Chard Robinson in 2018, is a global leader in active, responsible investment. Federated Hermes has been at the forefront of sustainable investment for more than three decades and has been recognised for its leadership in sustainability, investment stewardship, corporate social responsibility and inclusion and diversity.
The St Matthew’s Centre is occupied by the Cambridge School of Visual & Performing Arts – a specialist art, design, drama, and music school. In 2014 aLL Design, the internationally renowned architecture and design studio, developed a proposal for a new contemporary building for student living through discussions with Cambridge City Council and via a co-design workshop and public exhibition involving the local community.
Federated Hermes has asked a team to examine and build on the 2014 purpose-built student accommodation proposal.
