St Matthew’s Centre consultation now open
This week, Federated Hermes launched a public consultation on plans to rejuvenate the St Matthew’s Centre site.

Development on this site has been mooted for several years with a comprehensive plan developed through discussions with planning officers and the local community in 2014. This process included a co-design workshop and public exhibition with residents.
In these unprecedented times due to Coronavirus, we are unable to host the public exhibition which had been planned to show our plans to the community. However, we have put all of the same information that we would have shown at the exhibition on a website: www.stmatthewscentreproposals.co.uk.
If you would like to get in touch with the St Matthew’s Centre project team about the proposals, either to voice your support or clear any concerns you may have, please contact us.Email us: [email protected]

By using the site carefully we can improve an overlooked and underused area, invest in St Matthew’s Piece, and meet the challenge of accommodating Cambridge’s student population – if we can move more students into purpose-built accommodation it will be possible to return shared houses currently occupied by students to the open market.
